Roberto G. Guerrero,TX, L.Ac.,Dipl. O.M., M.A.O.M

Roberto is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist with a practice located in San Antonio, Texas.

Roberto is a National Certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist, and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Roberto specializes in pain management, chronic conditions, martial arts and sport related injuries.

Roberto holds a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCTCM), the oldest school of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Texas.

His training of over 3,300 hours at TCTCM includes extensive training in Chinese Acupuncture, Auricular therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, moxibustion therapy, Tui na, Tai chi, Qi gong, and Eastern nutrition, as well as a two year internship at the school’s clinic. In addition he has western-related schooling in the biosciences, pharmacology, western pathology, physical examination and ortho-neurological assessment techniques, and western nutrition.

In addition Roberto holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas in San Antonio (UTSA).

Roberto is also a martial artist, and holds a third degree black belt in Kuk Sool Won, a Traditional Korean Martial Art. He taught martial arts at the San Antonio Martial Arts Center for over 6 years which eventually led to his involvement in Oriental Medicine.

Ruth E. Cravens, TX. Lic. Ac., Dipl. O.M., M.O.M.

Ruth E. Cravens joined the staff of Alamo Acucare in November of 2009.  She had been the owner and sole practitioner of The Wellness Center since April 2005.  Ruth graduated from Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCTCM) of Austin Texas in August of 2004.  There she earned a masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  Ruth’s studies included but were not limited to Chinese Acupuncture, Tui Na, Qi Gong, and Chinese herbology. Ruth treated well over three hundred patients as an intern at TCTCM.

Prior to concentrating her efforts in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Ruth studied Chemistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).  She spent a total of 10 years in the United States Army on active duty and in the reserves. Where she served in both Saudi Arabia and Somalia.   She proudly served in the Medical Corps as an Operating Room Technician, in the Signal Corps as an Automatic Switch System Operator and Maintainer, and finally in the Military Intelligence Corps as an Electronic Warfare Analyst.

In addition to acupuncture, Ruth provides Reiki and Reflexology as part of her treatment protocol.
